Your lips state calmly that our time is up, I bet you even slept soundly; guess I'm out of luck. But I can't comprehend why I'm alone, I miss your smile darling, don't want to be on my own. Without you. Without you. I miss those times together, granted there were few, I loved just being together back when it was me and you. Now I have too much time to think, It feels like I'm a chain without you my missing link. And I miss you. I miss you. But you, you asked for a song for you, And I know it is late and it is long overdue. And I rule the day, I didn't ask you to stay. And now I lie in this lonesome old room, And without you here I can feel the gloom approaching. And so I sing. Well here you go dear, now you know the gist, I hate not being with you I might as well be mist. And it angers me, to know that you are near, I wish I could emote to you dear, but I have the fear. You'll refuse me. Refuse me. But you, you asked for a song for you, And I know it is late and it is long overdue. And I rule the day, I didn't ask you to stay. And now I lie in this lonesome old room, And without you here I can feel the gloom approaching. And so I sing.

Dirty stirrups and a dirtier mind, You got money in your hand and you gotta tonne of time. Dead banditos resting in the back, Providing you with funds to escape the rack. 'Cause there's some who call you scum, and sum regard you high. You left three young men dead and bloody in the rye. Wash down your sins with a shot of the finest rum, You keep on drinking till your senses turn you numb. You aim at the man from across the plain, The bullet leaves your gun but you feel no pain. For he is the prize and you are the victor, And you're still alive but you ain't no bigger. You aim at the man from across the plain, The bullet leaves your gun but you feel no pain. For he is the prize and you are the victor, And you're still alive but you ain't no bigger. You call yourself a killer, you certainly ain't no winner, with barely enough precious gold to even buy your dinner. You've fallen on hard times, a warrior with no bound, Shake that duster down, I'm sure there's jobs in town. But you spot it from a distance, the shadow of a man, All glad in black elegantly holding a pistol in each hand. Then it strikes you like a lightening bolt, but no it just can't be, That man in black is coming for a bounty placed on me. A bounty placed on me.

Walk Tall 02:40
Walk tall but don't you think about the morrow, You stop dead still like your head is full of sorrow. But that can't be the case, Cause you're life, it isn't a waste. Your arms come down, no you don't have no answers. Your feet buckle up, no you where never no dancer. Your hands scream at you; what can these measly things do? Well they can hold us up and they can lay us down, They're never going to spin us around the wrong way. Well at least today; they provide me with the chance to give my love to you, And indeed I do. This summer's day. Carry on, no you don't need no reason, You hold your head high And walk into the legion that lie in your wake, I wonder how much you can take. They say your name, and you don't give no answer, You've always hated them, they mistook you for a chancer. Well now is your chance, Show them that ten dollar glance. So they can jeer at us, and call us names, but they'll never know that we feel the same way about them, And that we condemn, being near them it's a sign that we fear them. But maybe, by the end of the day, they can provide me with, The chance to give my love to you, and indeed I do. This summer's day. This summer's day.

The World begins to weep, The ground starts to shake beneath my feet. I don't know what it's fighting for, It could be the endless war. And if, we could start it over again, Back to when the trees were as good as men. The neglected leaves hear our cry, Underneath the tree at which we lie. At which we lie. The bark begins to fray, It has no intention to stay. It feels the Earth's cracking seems, All it wants to do is be free. And if, we could start it over again, Back to when the trees were as good as men. The neglected leaves hear our cry, Underneath the tree at which we lie. At which we lie.
